Try -Dives enable you to have an easy, enjoyable taster before committing yourself to the purchase of equipment, or even to joining the club. You can also talk to club members - people who already enjoy diving!
IMPORTANT For a Try-Dive you must be confident in the water and have the diving officers permission to take part. Certain medical problems may prevent you from diving, these include; asthma / diabetes / perforated ear. If you have any doubts about your health, please check first with your GP
How can I book one?

Further Training to BSAC standards
This club is a branch of the British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC) and follows their training practices to international standard.
BSAC has been training people to dive since the early 50s, and North West Kent have been training divers for over 30 years.
Whether you are new to diving, want to advance your skills, or you are joining BSAC from another diving agency (e.g. PADI), we can find a suitable programme that meets your needs.
BSAC regularly updates and improves its diver training programme and keeps pace with developments in equipment and diving knowledge.
From basic training in a swimming pool, students will soon complete their first open water dives to achieve Ocean Diver certification.
The next stage is Sports Diver certification, where divers improve and develop their diving skill and techniques.
Further qualifications available are Dive Leader, Advanced Diver and Club Instructor.
BSAC courses
Ocean Diver
This course provides you with the essential knowledge and skills needed for open water diving. You will learn how to dive using your equipment properly and safely. The Ocean Diver training course consists of theory lessons with an exam and practical experience in a swimming pool and sheltered water. We will introduce you to open water in a controlled and safe manner. This qualification allows limited diving in open water here or abroad.
Sports Diver
This level builds a sound foundation of open water diving skills and experience through a series of structured practical and theory lessons. Once you have gained this open water experience with a qualified instructor, you are ready to take part in dives with other Sports Divers or those of higher grades.
Dive Leader
Dive Leader training concentrates on the responsibilities and safety aspects of leading other divers on an open water dive. Practical lessons in rescue management and rescue skills will give you the confidence and ability to deal with those unforeseen emergencies. Leading a dive will develop your confidence and experience as a diver.
Advanced Diver
This course further develops your knowledge and skills. You will gain experience in planning and organising dives at different sites and under different circumstances. Additional experience will be gained in using small boats, chart work, navigation and many other important skills.
